Perry Thompson is President and CEO of Hat Creek Construction (HCC). His nearly three-decade journey with the company has been marked through various roles, including Project Manager, Operations Manager, and Vice President, where he gained hands-on experience in site work, road building, bridge construction, paving, and concrete work.
Perry oversees operations and spearheads strategic planning initiatives to drive HCC’s growth, including securing appropriate quarry permits and reserves for the next three decades and beyond. He strongly emphasizes building and protecting the company's culture and is dedicated to nurturing talent to ensure his team has professional growth and development opportunities.
He’s a community leader who has supported multiple children’s organizations in the communities HCC serves, including Future Farmers of America, 4-H, Sober Grads, and youth sports. Perry is also a member of the Susanville Rotary and Vistage Redding. Originally from Hat Creek, he lives in McArthur with his wife (and enjoys his grown children!).
Weston Hutchings serves as Vice President, overseeing all aspects of Hat Creek Construction’s (HCC) construction division, from estimating to project completion. He’s also an HCC’s leadership and executive team member to recruit and support employees aligned with company culture and core values. Previously, he served as Sierra Nevada Construction's and Granite Construction's Project Manager.
Weston is a board member of the Jr. Rodeo, a supporter of Fall River Boosters, and vice president of the Associated General Contractors, Shasta/Eureka. He lives in his hometown of Fall River Mills with his wife and children.
Kristina Harris serves as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for Hat Creek Construction (HCC). With over 34 years of experience in the construction industry, her financial operations management expertise spans $10-110 million in annual revenue businesses. Kristina manages and mentors the administrative, human resources, and accounting teams to further the company’s success. She also develops financial systems, supports the leadership team, and engages in ongoing strategic planning. Previously, she served as CFO, controller, and a board of directors member in and outside the construction industry.
Kristina’s desire to support and develop others reaches far beyond that with her time as a founding board member for The Women’s Global Leadership Initiative in Sonoma County, the Chamber of Commerce Budget Committee for the City of Santa Rosa, the Contractor Alliance Association, the American Subcontractor Association and Vistage. Born and raised in Humboldt, she grew up in Santa Rosa and now splits her time between Hat Creek, Calif., and Albuquerque with her husband (and enjoying her grown children!).
Ron Criss serves as Hat Creek Construction's (HCC) Materials Division Manager, overseeing the production and delivery of aggregates, asphalt, and concrete products. His responsibilities include managing personnel within the division, ensuring timely delivery of materials to internal and external projects, and providing material pricing for project managers and customers. Ron also monitors and adjusts the quality of materials produced, manages equipment maintenance schedules, and handles equipment acquisition and disposal within the division.
He began his career as a Quality Control Manager at Klamath Pacific Corporation and later advanced to Project Manager and Operations Manager within the same company. Ron also helped acquire Klamath Pacific Corp by Oldcastle Materials Group (CRH Americas) and subsequently served as Vice President for Oldcastle Materials Group. He also served as a Construction Manager for Rocky Mountain Construction.
Ron supports and sponsors livestock events at the Tulelake-Butte Valley Fair, assists the local 4-H club beef program and serves as a Board Member of the Butte Valley Irrigation District (near Macdoel, CA). Originally from Macdoel, Calif., he currently lives in Dorris with his wife, dogs, and too many cattle (while also enjoying his grown children!).
Denise Williams is the Human Resources Manager for Hat Creek Construction (HCC), responsible for recruiting and staffing, compensation and benefits, compliance, and human resources administration. Previously, she was a Bookkeeper in the construction industry and a Food and Beverage Manager.
Originally from New Hampshire, Denise lives in Fall River Mills with her husband, black labs, and cats.
Robert Moseman serves as Structures Division Manager for Hat Creek Construction (HCC), where he plays a key role in the company's long-range planning, identifying future opportunities and ensuring operational preparedness while mitigating potential pitfalls. He estimates structures work and determines how they can complement grading and paving work. Dedicated to the company’s next generation of leaders, Robert develops the capabilities, understanding, and talent within the structures division.
Before HCC, Robert was half-owner of a bridge-building company that operated throughout California for over 30 years. He also served as Contracts Administrator for a family-owned business that served California, Hawaii, Washington State, Nevada, Georgia, Rhode Island, Illinois, and Washington D.C.
Robert has supported youth baseball and soccer in several communities for over 15 years, including eight years of soccer coaching and 15 years of refereeing, eventually reaching the NCAA level. Originally from Stanford, Calif., he has called Shingletown home for 26 years with his wife and (now grown) children.
James Folsom serves as Chief Estimator for Hat Creek Construction (HCC). He has decades of industry experience and is responsible for reviewing project estimates before they go to bid and conducting thorough market research to keep HCC competitive and informed. James also mentors project managers to further foster talent and provides valuable construction oversight, ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Originally from Chico, he now lives in McArthur with his wife and two dogs (and enjoying his grown children!).
John LaBarbera serves as Equipment Superintendent at Hat Creek Construction (HCC), with responsibilities including equipment purchasing, disposal, rental to supplement its fleet on a job-by-job need basis, and equipment logistics for all jobs and quarry operations. Additionally, he manages three mechanic shops, oversees parts deliveries to each shop, and schedules and maintains all fueling services for HCC’s fleet. In the two decades before he joined the Hat Creek team, John worked as a heavy-duty mechanic maintaining large equipment fleets and asphalt and concrete plants
John resides in Oak Run, within his home county of Shasta, with his wife and children. Recently, John was blessed with the marriage of his eldest son and a full-ride football scholarship awarded to his youngest son; their daughter still lives at home.
