HCCMI is hiring a dedicated Trucking Dispatcher to coordinate and manage a complete daily, weekly, and monthly dispatch schedule, communicate instructions with drivers, and problem solve as needed.
Position Details:

Responsibilities:
- Attend weekly scheduling meetings learn about jobs and trucking needs
- Read and understand 3-week schedules
- Figure out trucking needs for each project along with other team members based on location and cost factors and needs, schedule and dispatch drivers, work crews, vehicles or equipment to appropriate locations according to predetermined schedules, customer request or immediate needs
- Communicate with drivers each day on where’s, how and when
- Find and dispatch sub haulers for projects, communicate where’s, how’s and when, with subs including pay guidelines foreach project.
- Handle all driver needs including motels or RV parks, fueling, parking, spray racks, transportation to and from motels or work areas with company cars.
- Monitor hours of service for drivers including timecards, DVR’s, truck tags, and logs, make dispatch adjustments to ensure following hrs. of service guidelines
- Work closely with scheduling dispatcher for correct dispatch entries on master schedule
- Work with the equipment manager to set up and coordinate the schedule of transporting equipment for job set ups and finishes.
- Hold truck driver safety meetings discuss job challenges and our job location challenges
- Coordinate with HR for drug testing, vacation or time off request on the job injuries or any other HR needs
- Contact the safety manager about any accidents or injuries immediately regardless of whether it is big or small.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5-year experience in the trucking and/or construction business
- Strong communication, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent clerical and organizational skills(Scheduling, routes, other personnel)
- Must be proficient in communication software such as computers, telephones (talk/Text), email, GPS, company radios.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Valid Driver’s license. Travel will be required
- DOT knowledge: regulations, hours of service and logs.
